Joanna Darlington
Lead Teacher
For more than a decade Joanna has focused her teaching on helping students discover alignment and strength in their own, individual practice. This involves keen observation of and input from each student concerning their particular circumstances, abilities and limitations. She feels that with compassion comes understanding, forming a stable base for deep learning and absorption.
She has studied many forms of yoga including Iyengar style and restorative but has kept a continuous and keen focus on Ashtanga yoga. She has traveled several times to India, studying twice with Sharath Jois and many trips to study with and assist her teacher David Garrigues. She firmly believes that people of all shapes, sizes and levels of ability can benefit from this form of hatha yoga through the practice of Ashtanga.
Nikos Chremos
In 2003 he was introduced to the subtler aspects of yoga asana through Ashtanga, which helped him bounce back from sports injuries suffered in his 20’s. He spent a year practicing privately before fully committing himself to a daily practice and to David Garrigues as his teacher and mentor.
